Now let me be perfectly clear. We have never presented the Liberty Dollar as "coin", "legal tender" or "current money". In fact, our whole marketing plan is based on the fact that it is NOT government money. We have never advocated violence, racism, revolution or even the collapse of the US dollar. And as we have not received a cease and desist order, why shouldn't we continue to advocate the type of currency mandated by the US Constitution?

Historically, hallmarks were applied by a trusted party such as the assay office to guarantee a certain weight or fineness of the metal. From ancient Byzantine hallmarks to the Vienna Hallmark Convention in 1973, hallmarks have been used to mark the fineness and unique characteristics on precious metal items.
